I googled “amazon the blood oranges a novel” - and found quite a few books - “blood oranges”, “the blood oranges” and some others. Need to know the author.

I still read novels, but not as much. Used to go to a book club a few times a year - they actually had good discussions. But, at some point, a couple of retired teachers took over - and started picking those “book club books” - and gradually drifted in the direction of PC and topics of the day. So, I quit. I’ll never read a bookclubook again. Don’t like the genre.

Recently read a book by Gore Vidal, “Julian” - about a Roman emperor in the 4th century. It’s written in the form of a correspondence between two Greek philosophers who knew him personally - as well as Julian’s diary. It’s a matter of preferences, but I couldn’t stop reading.

Edit - checked the Wiki article, and noted a few details that make me think the reviewer didn’t read the novel. Funny.
