A case like that, if seriously pursued, will require the expenditure of an enormous amount of time and resources. Trump’s lawyers are in small firms, clearly undermanned for a real battle.

I have followed the factual basis for his suit very closely over the years. I think the factual allegations are absolutely correct. It is a very thoroughly and accurately drafted complaint. But, considering the size of the law firms involved, I wonder how serious Trump is about pursuing a case of this magnitude. Unless the firms hire lots more lawyers, a vigorous defense would likely overwhelm Trump’s team.

Venue is also an issue. Assuming Trump can serve process on all the defendants, an effort will be made to move the case to DC, where no jury will ever find for Trump. It will take at least six months for the change of venue motion to be filed and decided.

A valiant effort, but an uphill battle.
