It's disturbing to think about the 75 year terror this one country has inflicted on the world.

At the end of WWII, they could have played nice and joined the free nations of the western world, but they went rogue and ugly. Putting massive amounts of their wealth into weapons of mass destruction, attacking other countries, subjugating millions to their marxist ideology, while their people suffered through long bread lines and being sent to Siberia when they dared protest for change.

It looks like Putin wants to take them back to that wonderful time.

When you think of the trillions of dollars worldwide put into sophisticated weapons systems, as a deterrent to this rogue paranoid society, just about any country on the planet would be preferable.

Sure, individually that have some amazingly talented and intelligent people, but collectively, they just cannot work together to build a just governmental that is at peace with the rest of the planet.

I hope the economic punishment is so great they wake up and change. I doubt it will happen, but we can always hope.

On the other side of the border, what has Ukraine ever done to other nations in the world? Yes, they are struggling through their kleptocracy phase of development, like many other nations, but I have more hope for them 50 years from now, then Russia.
