Further to Maxey's predictions and allegations, I now am beginning to suspect that the reason that the WaPo and the NYT as well as CNN are now admitting the authenticity of the laptop is that Hunter's sexual pecadillos have descended into the realm of the criminal. Edit: In taking a hard look at the evidence that "Josh Wilson" is involved, it seems that the accusers rely on this copy of a subpoena issued by a Delaware Grand Jury. It definitely does not bear Josh Wilson's signature. It is a 2019 subpoena, and bears the signature of clerk of court, a John [illegible], not the FBI agent. So, I am not so sure about the child porn bit. Like I said, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. I have not seen any proof yet.
