Past survival success is no guarantee of future success. My male lineage goes back to when Y chromosomes were invented hundreds of millions of years ago. Fantastic, statistically impossible odds were beaten since the dawn of time. Every generation had to reproduce before dying and those male descendants had to succeed too.
But we need go back only about 25,000 years to arrive at the individual who came out of Africa and whose Y chromosome replaced all other males whose ancestors had previously left Africa.
Said bloke produced more and more and more descendants over millennia who gradually superseded those who had gone before.
They acted individually and in collectivist tribalism. Genghis Khan turbocharged the process with mass descendants after Asian conquests. Other alpha males did similar as best they could.
All non African males alive now have a single lineage going back to that bloke.
So in a way we're all brothers. But consider Abel and Cain. And many of us have or had brothers. Brothers can be fratricidal and even if not, the oldest son usually could lord it over his brothers. And would normally be crowned and given the family farm and other property.
His brothers would take up arms and fight and kill neighbouring tribes of males to get land, resources and women. Losing tribes were killed and eaten in Maori genocidal conquest.
Women had 10 children on average so there was large impetus to Malthusian population control.
Now, contraception has stopped the population bomb other than in Africa and many jihad countries. So population pressure is not a driver of war in "civilized" countries.
Russia doesn't have millions of spare males, neither do many countries. Populations are actually falling. Jihad and other invasions/migrations are replacing the depopulating males. Eurostan is being conquered by demography.
My male lineage which succeed for hundreds of millions of years ended in suicide in 2015.
Iran had the same success as my ancestors for exactly the same length of time. I'm unaware of any law of nature that says collective suicide doesn't happen to if only via very bad choices and outside challenges. Heaven's Gate, Jonestown, The British Disease, Roman Empire, Egyptian pharoahs.
I say USA has jumped the shark too. Now USA has lost Virtuous Victorian Values. The greatest generation built it. Now Nigga rap, opioids, debt and the fading US$, single female "families", ... it's not looking good.
Suicide even seems normal.
Iran has said Israel is a 2 bomb war. They said that while Iran would also be smashed, so much would survive it would be worth it to remove the little Satan. They are imbued with suicidal Islamic ideology with an ideal being the glory of martyrdom and 70 virgins.
I met an Iranian mathematician in Tokyo in 1990 at a hostel. He was an admirable man. There were a few arrogant loud despicable foul mouthed contemptuous and contemptible young American males staying there too.
It's weird to think that Iran is bad and USA good considering those individuals.
Unfortunately, good individuals are stuck in the collective. Not all Americans are hideous and should be eliminated from the gene pool. Not all Iranians are suicidal murderers.
Now I think of it, our neighbour's admirable son is in a defacto relationship with a PhD Iranian lady in Netherlands.
Ancient civilizations might not have been suicidal but depending on that is unwise. Especially when they are developing atomic bombs to obliterate Israel for insane jihad reasons.
Unfortunately, like Russia, Israel might be forced to use them.
How many will be used remains to be seen.
Hopefully, with Washington obliterated along with Moscow, they'll call a truce.
Large scale history seems about to be made. Many male and female lineages will end. And a lot more besides.
Lest we forget. Never Again. Blah blah blah. Virtue signal virtue signal...
