Hi I2000, Congrats on a great profit! Now to get down on what is really important. Get the operation done. Learn the therapy recovery procedures and make another great move - HEAL! While you are somewhat immobile, what a great time to find a broker that will enable you to use your cash to get option premium on puts and make the transfer, which can take 7-10 days. I liked Interactive brokers when Scottrade transferred their active trader accounts there - which then later went to TDA. They both have great margin rates, if you negotiate, and TDA has personal account reps that are exceptional. IMO I sell options far out in time and am not a frequent trader. My time at Trade Station was a misfit. The other broier I do not have experience with is Schwab. Others here may have experience. I like TDA and liked Interactive brokers as more of my trades came in below the bid /ask on the price side. Wishing you a speedy recovery and congrats on a great trade.
