Ted Yes, I have thought of shorting silver....and selling my silver coins burried in the ground...>>chuckle<< But put it off because of the volitility and screwy nature of Buffett's purchase.....but the price will probably come down. I'll bet puts are expensive by now. Did he buy it to make a quick buck to sell it off as GZ mentions...? I think he may just surprize everyone and KEEP IT... 1) To support and hedge his Berkshire Hathaway from currency devaluations. 2) Perhaps EURO will be based on a basket of commodities....nobody I've asked seems to be interested in this topic.....Nobody responds. Either they do not know or don't care or they are not paying attention or my question is so totally "off-the-wall" in probability...I'm wating my time. 3) Perhaps he knows something we don't know... 4) Perhaps...Perhaps Anyway, it's very interesting and I wish now that I had bought more silver coins when the price was $4.80.>>smile<< I'd like to short the Dollar... These rumblings of Middle East War could raise the price oil into the $30's and bring our bond prices up and the dollar down.
