The author confuses cause/effect and assumes false analogies. Other countries have far better diets and walk more than we do in the US. Here in the US, we drive everywhere and sit in our butts staring at our TV or phones all day. The percentage of obesity is far above other countries.
That our healthcare can get these walking heart attack/stroke victims within a couple years of other countries is an amazing accomplishment.
