I am a new poster to this group, but I have been shorting stocks for a while (ESMC, VIAS, SLOT, AMZN). I have just opened a short position in ALTIF. The company smells: 1. It has only 5 employees and even the administrative assistant is part time, hardly the size of an organization needed to develop and manufacture a complex technological product. 2. Floorless convertible (just like ESMC). What is even worse is that the company CEO is participating in this offering so he has an incentive to drive down the share price. 3. Insider sales in December totaled over a million dollars. 4. The company web site is oriented exclusively to hyping the stock and includes lots of misleading information. For example according to the site there are several large institutional investors, none of them are confirmed by NASDAQ which shows 0% institutional ownership. Michail
