I agree with #1 - Biden and the EU are working on that - I'm not sure how far they will get, but they keep adding to it.

For #2: While the US and EU were afraid of expanding NATO at the beginning, I'm beginning to agree with you and think that Russia's military performance has shown it can't do anything about it. I don't think the Russians will allow Putin to start a nuclear war.
