I spent the time and watched the complete interview. Sorry, I’m not buying the perceived 3 level chess genius of the Russian strategy. He is super confident Russia will win - just a matter of time. I am not. Gorilla warfare can go on for decades, just as it did in Afghanistan. Thus far, I see the same willingness to fight for Ukraine.

On the contrary, Russia may have done more with their invasion to unite Ukraine than anyone could have envisioned months before the attack.

If the Russian Army represents a “professional” fighting force, his standards are very low.

I see tanks and heavy artillery along with air elements that are superior, what I don’t see is professional soldiers, pilots or planners coordinating the assets.

The future is an unknown. Worldwide public perception, sanctions and shame can still have an impact as it motivates countries to take deeper actions that may last longer.

I hope Russia comes to their senses, accepts the terms of no NATO membership and turns tail back across the border.
