I just meant my apprehension of the recovery period and physiotherapy is why I haven't gone through with the surgery. I seem to be getting by somewhat normally atm.

I'm sure you're stronger and more motivated than I am, and your supports are greater than mine, so you will do very well. A friend is in his 80's and skiis like a pro, he said getting both his knees replaced some years ago was the best thing he's ever done.
