There was an avalanche of tweets saying it was UNSC. I thought so too. I’m glad it’s the Human Rights committee. Would be a very wrong moment for big shakeups at the UN. This may have been a trial balloon - and if that’s the case, the image of the world united turned into an embarrassment. If so, imho, those who want a war against Russia may have weakened their position.

To change the subject - much is being made of China’s CoViD breakout. Apparently, it’s Omicron - and the early data suggests that it’s very, very mild. Fatality 1/10th of seasonal flu??

If they’re smart, the Chinese should stop the nonsense with lockdowns - and count their blessings.

(This also answers doubts about the 4th shot. It raises antibodies for a while and seems to make the disease milder - BUT Omicron is very mild anyway. So, it’s hard to justify taking it. What will happen when we have a new version? That remains to be seen.
