Only an idiot like Putin could motivate the Swedes and Finns to join NATO
I’m not sure their leaders are doing something that’s good for their countries. No one is bothering them, no controversies, they have a good thing going. And suddenly, they want to place their nations into the center of any potential future confrontation. The timing of their decision suggests rather silly virtue signaling. If I were a Finn or a Swede, I would not appreciate this.

Maybe they’ll cool down before the summer comes.

Edit - Sweden has Finland between themselves and Russia. And Finland is a huge empty country. Their north reaches beyond the Polar Circle - much further North than Murmansk. Does Russia want to have another Siberia? Or, do they need Helsinki, which a very nice quiet town with a lot of of sea food?
