If they were smart they would be negotiating in earnest while they have an upper hand in those areas. Such a waste, all the troops dying needlessly for their Stalin wannabe. All the civilians dying, Ukrainian young men and woman, children, cities, towns and infrastructure in complete ruin. For what? Gas, oil, rare earth minerals and a couple hundred miles of land. Decent Russian people just beginning to feel the impact of 30 years of free market economics will now see their standard of living fall in the coming decades. Of course Putin and his KGB cronies will still live like Kings for their remaining time on this planet. Such is the curse of bowing to a Dictator. Also sad that none of this would be happening if Trump were President. He would have probably flown to Kyiv before day one and invited Putin there to “make a deal”. Feckless Biden and the far left kooks surrounding him, were too worried about nonsense like transgenders competing in girls high school track events.
