I have a hypothetical situation.

Let's say that I spent $12875 cash(no margin) to buy 1000 shares of Lgnd @ $12 7/8. If I spent the same amount of $ on Lgndw @ $7 I would get 1839 shares. Let's say right before expiration the price of Lgnd is $30...the value of my so called investment would be $30,000. The value of the warrants if they are priced @ $22.875...the investment value would be $42,067.125. If I wanted to get 1000 shares of Lgnd I could exercise 1000 warrants for $7125. If I sold 312 shares of Lgndw I would get a little more than $7125. As a result I would then have 1000 shares of Lgnd along with 527 shares of Lgndw (value of $12,055) to liquidate or exercise.

I am not a current investor but I've been thinking about it for a while. I'm just wondering if my example is valid? Thanx in advance for your feedback.

Where'd He Go?
