C2 I get glimmering of hope even I read dome sense. There are quite a lot of people who are able to think beyond slogans and who are able to understand more than and longer ago than Russia finally giving up, facing reality, and yet again stepping up to the horrific and tragic burden of self defence against marauding chimpoids.

When I watched Putin visit the tomb just before the invasion of Ukraine, his body language, for minutes, told me what I needed to know. He had decided to go MAD if needs be.

It reminded me of standing at the back of the large marquee in Geneva at the launch of Globalstar service in 1999.

Bernie Schwartz and co were on stage. The marquee was packed shoulder to shoulder with all seats full.

Irwin Jacobs couldn't even enter until Bernie was ready to start proceedings and asked where was Irwin? When he identified himself, the crowd parted. He walked to the front and sat in the front row, apparently not being important enough to be on stage.

I was standing at the back with a good view of all (being tall enough to see over most crowds).

When Bernie said to Irwin to produce millions of phones, I observed Irwin impassively sit without any movement at all. That spoke volumes to me.

Sure enough.

Putin stood for several minutes. Still, silent. Everyone waiting, waiting, waiting. It was not the usual placing of wreath, quick bow or salute formality as politicians and others usually pay respects.

It was "We of the present are about to join you bygone defenders. We will not all survive. Or any."
