Both Patrick Lancaster and Gonzalo have moved their families to safety. They are staying where they are by choice. They must feel relatively secure with the Ukrainians they hang out with, but as he mentioned before in Kiev, Gonzalo is ready to leave his location and not look back if he gets word the Azov's are looking for him.

He's not so worried about the war for his personal safety - he's worried about people who stifle the truth. If I ever find out that he's secretly working with Russian intelligence, I'm going to be crushed. But I don't think he is. The trouble he's having is that some people prefer that the truth be "managed", just like Zelensky is being managed.

We get that here as we dish out our own perceptions, but SI is great for not stifling us. In UK they can come to your door if you tweet something "transphobic". Imagine an Azov coming to tie you up to a pole and throw freezing water on you, or much, much worse?

I really appreciate the bravery of these guys. I doubt Gonzalo even knew what he was getting into when he first started criticizing "the regime". Patrick has been living in the conflict area for years. Graham Phillips has been all over since Crimea in 2014.
