ISSI Expands Low Power, Low Voltage Offering
Low-cost EPROMs Aimed at Modem, Portable Markets
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISSI - news) today
introduced two low power EPROMs designed for use in portable applications, and in networking, modem,
workstation and printer systems. In the modem market, where specifications for 56KB systems are stabilizing, many
manufacturers are seeing EPROMs as a viable low-cost replacement for the Flash memory used for code storage in
early designs.
The IS27LV020 and the IS27LV2048 are organized as 256K x 8 and 128K x 16, respectively. Both 2-M bit
devices operate from 2.7 to 3.6 Volt power supplies, and offer users an alternative to the more costly 2-M bit Flash
memory devices. These two low power devices complement the IS27C020 and IS27C2048, standard power and
voltage (5 V read) versions with similar operating characteristics.
The IS27LV020 is available now in standard 32-pin DIP, PLCC and TSOP packages at $3.25 in quantities of
1000. The IS27LV2048 is also available now in standard 40-pin PDIP and TSOP and 44-pin PLCC packages at
$3.75 in quantities of 1000.
