Yes, a grand idea. Its most useful to capitalize on the threads international dimension and use our resources to seek a deeper understanding on relatively local sources on the current big news stories.
You use of the word "angonostic" is eloquent, or at least "handy" and I am thinking it should be a thread word rather then just the speciality of TJ? :-)
My brother is still in Keiv Ukraine, where expressing a Scott Ritter type view could easily be an almost instant death sentence... if your lucky.
I am understanding of Haims and other contributers perspective of the Russian and Ukraine situation. I appreciate thier input. I have always been taught to look at all the views and perspectives in important matters, and to me the Ukraine situation is important as both a European and British citizen.
My other brother in London already has his Irish Passport while my British Passport has expired. These action items are on my list of things to do.
A number of my closest relatives are continuously shocked and horrored by almost everything I say as it differers from the UK government and general UK press perspective. They wonder why I use sources that are obviously not officially recognised as true and genuine like those emanating from the likes of the Guardian newspaper and the European / British Parliament. Seemingly I am a whacky right wing conspiracy theorist who gets his info from loonies on FB and internet conspiracy web sites like Silicon Investor. This label I have been tarred with doesn't bother me too much as I feel confident I can exceed and improve upon such a reputation, but that only seems to cause more shock and horror. -g-
I did come across Gonzalo Lira's posts a while back. To me, he must of been a Russian Asset not in Ukraine. He was far too calm, collected, and smiley about the face on events he stated were false. It doesn't matter if he was right or wrong. if he was really was in Ukraine, expressing such views, he should of generally looked both emotionally stressed and frightened. I have noticed other news commenter's in Ukraine do generally look frightened and emotionally stressed, and that is normal and expected in such circumstances. Most likely genuine. I have felt that way at times in my life, and it's an uncomfortable feeling.
Example of Gonzalo Lira's work.
He seems to be knowledgeable of filming and stage production as a profession.
George Galloway is best described as a "professional politician".
So maybe Gonzalo was (hopefully "is") just private citizen after all, maybe broadcasting a pro Russian perspective, but being a real journalist in these days of endemic government sponsored fake news and false flags, a hazardous way to live.
