You and your daughter would be bad computer programmers. LOL I'm the same way. I taught myself HTML, SQL etc in a couple hours each. Hand jammed everything in notepad. They're what I call static programs. You tell it to do one thing and it does it. I tried to do the flowing style computer languages and just couldn't do it because you have to put in all the obvious baby steps before the big bang of what you want it to do. I kept skipping the baby steps.
I actually had the idea for stockcharts.com long before they came about. I struggled to get the code working and someone offered to help. They kept saying they were working on it then I never heard back once they had all my ideas. I don't remember their name so I can't say if it was him or not but I always suspected it was. I had tried to write it in java the first time but it became a huge beast back when computers weren't that powerful. I then tried C+, C++ and the "new" ASP.
I can do php to SQL links no problem but those other ones just need too many little things before getting to the meat.
As for AA, I don't follow them that close but I think they have their own power generators. I recall in the early 2000s when California was having power issues... AGAIN, that AA was selling them power because they could make more selling them power than making aluminum. They also have pricing power right now because their power is cheaper than European competition. Still they've had a big run-up so I expect them to come down after earnings.
PG hit it out of the park again. Still have the disparity between them and UL.
Another 3 AM save last night after the S&P spent all night down 14-20. I might just have to start buying it and make it stop. LOL
