| | | Yep...I was going to upgrade this year, but I've found myself becoming much more conservative, just because of so much uncertainty. I don't live paycheck to paycheck, either, so if I'm cutting back, so many others are. Side note...my friend and her husband own a little country store in the middle of nowhere, low income area, etc. It's kind of a hobby for her husband, who is disabled. We were talking about something the other day, and she said they are probably going to just go ahead and close it this year. Because of gas, people aren't buying cigarettes, beer, etc. When people give up their vices, they are hurting.
I also have a theory about the psychology around consumption right now...being blasted with daily images of the war, your priorities change. I've seen it play out with so many of my friends, who can certainly afford to consume, but it just...it feels wrong. I know that's not very scientific, but I think there will be an effect.
