Mexican Wireless Tender Attracts 14 Bidders Federal Telecommunications Commission Mexican Wireless Tender Attracts 14 Bidders 02/09/98 Mexico's tender for local wireless telephone service is expected to net the highest bid for a single auction. The Federal Telecommunications Commission (COFETEL) said that 14 bidders have registered for the auction with offers exceeding some 300M pesos (approximately US$37.5M). Bidders include Hermes, Miditel, Pegaso, Qualcomm, Telmex-Telcel and Sistemas Profesionales de Comunicacion. The story was reported by Infolatina.
