Nancy, I believe the SuperCharts manual will explain that MetaStock data format is an industry standard that most TA software supports. Therefore, most data providers supply you with conversion software to create the MetaStock directory structure. And most TA software provides the ability to read MetaStock structure.

And once your data is in MetaStock format most all software can read it.

MetaStock, being one of the oldest around, is the dominant standard.
