Foreign policy should be NOT to deny Russia whatever is important to them. It is to protect and advance the interests of the US - meaning, of the American people. And - it helps if it’s a sober calculation.

I’m glad Joe Biden is dragging his feet. The guy may be slow, but he remembers the Cold War. He isn’t a suicidal maniac.

Come to think of it - yes, if not for nukes, Russia right now would be fighting all of Europe, the US and everyone else — and getting demolished. But - they do have nukes. For the moment, the biggest and fastest ones. Some day we may be facing the same dilemma with Iran or NK. Or, hypothetically, with Ukraine - they said they also want nukes.

Nukes are very real - and really fatal.
