It's surprising how many people look to history to predict the future. History is bunk, made up of dead, ignorant people.
3 and 4 decades ago, people went on about how China was 100 years in the past. I explained how minds are weightless and can turn on a dime, and that a person born today is not 100 years behind = they can go from 0 to the future by the time they turn 25, creating the future out of thin air.
Sure enough, China was NOT 100 years behind and did not require 100 years to catch up, which is what was meant by saying they were 100 years behind. Virtuous Victorian Values can be adopted by anyone any time, en masse. Whole countries can go from 0 to the future in just 20 years. A few examples = Singapore, Japan, west Germany, South Korea after the cataclysm of WWII via a change to how they think and do, helped along by a new generation unbound to the past. Now China.
I'm boko haram about sacred texts written by ignorant people 10, 100, 1000 or 3000 years ago. Unfortunately, the boko haram gang only got part of the idea right. The past is okay, but it's not a rule book to be obeyed. The future is made up of an infinite range of wave functions which are converted to reality when we choose to create their reality.
Eureka, Seeing the Light, epiphany, hitting bottom, paradigm shift happens = they recognize that things change in the blink of an eye in minds. When minds change, reality shifts.
The current carnage in Ukraine is trivial carnage compared with what USA did to Iraq, Vietnam and a lot more besides, Rwanda, Pol Pot, the USA civil war, WWI, WWII, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresden, Tokyo.
A few dead people in Bucha, blamed on Russia, but actually killed by Ukrainians and their Euroserf helpers. 5 minutes in Ypres resulted in a lot more than that.
While USA might want greatly for the carnage to continue and will supply money for looting and recycling, and weaponry to conduct carnage, Ukrainians at the front lines can simply refrain from pulling the trigger. Sit under a tree and have a fag. Russians can park their tanks and bask in the spring sunshine warmth and not fire any shells. Or they could blow up some dirt or rocks just to keep a bit of noise and smoke going to make it look good, and tell those up the chain of command that the going is very tough, send more money, shells, bullets, rockets and fags coz the enemy is amazingly tough, though we're winning any day now. Just stalemate where things are.
Or,
Zelensky could agree that the gross destruction is a bad idea and that Crimea being Russian, Luhansk and Donetsk and a bit of coastline being independent are good ideas and no different from Brexit from Eurostan, Scottish independence from UK, Ireland independent from Great Britain. These things do not require mass murder. Zelensky wanting to murder people who don't want him as their boss is a bad idea and he should be sent to Den Hague for war crimes, evil and crimes against humanity, being anti-democratic and generally villainous.
So simple to solve.
