A lot of the times I get fills in the middle, especially if bid/ask are far apart. I only go in with size on issues with liquidity, and usually, but certainly not always, catch the beginning of a wave, then I’m quickly out. I don’t like holding options for more than 24/48 hrs usually, but there are exceptions.
When 3x first came out I remember lots of people said they couldn’t be traded… so I just didn’t speak up, lol. I cut my teeth on those… had some spectacular losses, but also lots of winners. I try to learn from each trade, to this day, and I’m very humble about my abilities. It may be that I’ve found my niche and need to stick with it, but at the very least I’m going to learn and understand the futs market and see if it’s for me.
Knowing myself, right now I think getting the software up and running and getting used to integrating harmonics into my trading will be first step, and when I’m comfortable with that, then investigate whether futs are for me.
