| | | In one word, Retirement: I had enough of the snow storms, noreasters, freezing winters, higher property taxes every year so we cashed out. One of the best decisions I ever made. In regard to the higher taxes, I didn't think we could afford the higher taxes anymore. Little did I know that I would be making much more money annually over the past 5 years as a swing trader ( including this year) than I did in NYC.
We have been living in deep Trump country over the past 5 months in Mojave County, AZ. From my days in Tel Aviv, I love the desert.
If you don't like the high taxes in HI, leave. No one is keeping you prisoner there. But you prefer to complain and bitch like a sourpous.
I should have realized Frank Sinatra was right: "if you can make it there ( NYC), you can make it anywhere."
I don't give a flying fuck what you guys think. But I do enjoy the dialogue sometimes.
Now we are avoiding all utility costs and saving over $500 a month in rent by living in Airbnb's rather than owning or renting. And we are getting much better quality.
We have gotten rid of just about everything, most possessions. That's Freedom. We have shed most responsibility that comes with owning a house and even renting to a point. I own no pots or pans, no bed, just enough clothes for 10 days.
Gonna spend a month in the suburbs of Phoenix to see my oldest son and grandchildren and then 4 months in Pioneer, CA about a hour West of Lake Tahoe South, in the woods. Then back down to Southeast AZ for the Winter.
Life is not good, it's great.
The diversity is what it's all about.
Liberalism is King.
PS We can live in an area with just about anyone, anywhere of our choosing and thrive and be happy. That's more than I can say for most of you conservative saps who post here. |
