Sussmann’s billing records show that he billed the Hillary for America campaign for drafting the white paper he pimped to Baker as a “concerned citizen.” See paragraphs 24 and 26 of the indictment. Hell’s bells, he was working on it just a few days before he met with Baker!

Baker, who now works for Lawfare after getting booted out of the FBI, surely knew Sussmann was, wink, wink, bulls****ng him, but he was a willing victim. Baker, of course, can’t possibly claim that he knew Sussmann was working for Hillary because he would get his ass in a Mixmaster if he did. He has to say he believed Sussmann’s BS, which should seal Sussman’s fate.
That should do it. Easy, peasy case to try. Don’t understand the delay, the complexity, etc. A jury can understand it very easily.
