Sorry, I'm a day behind but I'm wondering where you got this from:

The mRNA therapies were designed to mitigate serious disease, not stop it completely.
The endpoint of the Pfizer study was mild to moderate symptom reduction which is arguably opposite to this. I don't believe I've ever come across what they were supposedly designed for, but I would expect that the study presented to the FDA for approval would be set up to show they do what they were designed for.
