Nope. Not in a 100 years, and probably never.

Neither one is driven by stupid ideologies, the way Germany was.

Remember that they go back a long time - to Gengis Khan’s empire and beyond. Besides them having more use from each other when they’re friendly, Russia can’t fight a conventional war against a nation with a 10 times larger population and with probably >10 times larger economy. Even if, somehow, they manage to “win” - they’d be so beat up that they’d be better off losing.

And they’re smart enough not to nuke each other - and let the West pick up what’s left.

There is the issue of contested territories along the border. Little by little, some areas are getting populated by Chinese migrants. But, no conflicts since the 1960’s. Both countries are federations of many nationalities, religions and cultures - call it empires. They’ll figure something out.
