the traveler, Long, long, long ago, I paid my way through college. I worked a 40+ hour work week and took enough classes to keep me from being drafted. Combined with homework and study, that did not leave much time for sleep, but I managed. I eventually said draft me and lowered my college hours until I graduated. I was forced to go in for the physical to determine my fitness to be drafted. I went through the humiliating process along with a lot of other guys I knew and did not know. I finally yelled at one of the doctors that had us all lined up naked and was going through checking out our privates and making comments about our size, I am not in the military and you can stop treating me like you own me until I am or I am out of here. That brought a cheer from the group. TRUTH BE TOLD... They were in the process of implementing the draft lottery. I got a fairly high number and was never drafted. However, I joined the military a few years after graduation. Regards, HairBall
