I have never heard of a verified case of a wolf attacking a human. In the 80s I worked with a guy who in graduate school had worked with a wolf researcher in N. Mn. He told me he was attacked by a healthy wolf, that it was documented, and the only case of a documented attack like that. I can't verify his story but I can verify that is what he told me. He had a beard and wore flannel shirts so I believed him. Edit: I googled "documented wolf attacks on humans" and got a lot of hits.
