Knew I'd seen that name before - Francis Menton. A LindyBill favorite.

Does anyone remember details about the Galambos total private property idea? I thought I'd read that it was based on private property owned on common non-owned land. I can't find the post where I saw that.

It is hard to wrap my head around that idea, but it seems more like what the native Americans used. A little bit like a timeshare ownership. If no one owns the land itself, no one could be completely dispossessed of a place to live. That's the way the open ocean is at this point.

So far, the USFS isn't a bully like the NPS. I don't have any BLM managed area around me, but I hear that's pretty free-range in places. It would be nice to have no bullies, but I have seen what happens without any restrictions.

Sometimes these "total" ideas are so abstract, I wonder if they have ever been run through a real world filter.
