While Tesla got 465 Million (all paid back on schedule with interest), Ford got 5.9 Billion.

And Solyndra got $500 Million.

So, let's keep in mind that throughout the existence of his companies, Musk has consistently outperformed what he said he would do. Maybe a little late sometimes, but he gets it done.

Why are you bitching? You've seen government piss off 10s of billions, maybe more, in pursuit of a way to make a substantial dent in Carbon emissions, and this guy comes along and just solves the damned problems. One after the other. Hard problems that ordinary engineers didn't have the vision to address.

So, wtf is your complaint? That Musk solved the problem and made money? Or that government couldn't do it without outside help because they would fuck up a wet dream? Which is it?

Everything that has been done right about this has been by Musk. Not bureaucrats, who have yet to solve any problem in this arena and few in the others. You should accept the win more gracefully.
