I just stumbled on to a movie that I can recommend to anyone willing to suspend belief and just enjoy the story.
It's called "The Bear," and stars at least two real grizzlies, Bart the Bear and a cub named Youk, a real bear actress. The movie, a French production based on an American novel, is "set" in Canadian British Columbia. I was suspicious because the scenery and vegetation, although genuine, did not look familiar. It turns out the movie was filmed almost entirely in the Italian and Austrian areas of the Dolomites,
The filmography was outstanding, almost unbelievably so. Scenes with honey bees and honey, bears climbing around mountains, swimming in streams, and many situations were totally believable. The movie was just plain enjoyable. It's about an hour an a half long.
Sadly, Youk and Bart are no longer with us. Their legacy is a message of forgiveness.
