Tmrent, where will the cable system servers be located? I kind of
thought that, for example, my cable system would be the first to
get VOD in Birmingham and the servers would be located in my local
cable plant. If that is so, then I think 1,000 streams will likely service my system. Probably no more than 1/3 or half will
even want the service and then all those will not be on line at
the same time. So I figure 1,000 or maybe 2,000 will be plenty.
Does this make any sense or will the servers be located far off
in a central plant that will serve many local cable systems and
require many more streams?
