I've been to PV. Easy peasy fly on AK Air. A friend would fill his trunk with food and water and drive to Cabo. Didn't trust anything down there. I learned the hard way, but it tasted great while it lasted.

At that time, they were just switching from old pesos to nuevo pesos. I hope inflation never gets so bad here that we have to do that. Not even any pennies in use in Canada any more, is what I heard.

I drove a rental with driver-assist last December. It would fight me and warn me at intersections. Couldn't deal with big arrows painted on the road. I don't think I'll ever trust self-driving cars, no matter how reliable. Part of my job was troubleshooting complex systems. I've seen reliable systems go wrong.

You will never know what you don't know, know what I mean?

I hope my brain doesn't get so full of trivia it can't handle any more, but things drop out. Nice to have backup and AI. My first experience with AI driving assist wasn't bad - just needed improvement. I left it on. Good to have options. And trust based on experience.

Someone pointed out that the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) is having edits done on it now. That is bad. Ministry of History coming to a regime near you.
