If your differentiation between the “US” and “America” is correct, the US/American political system is even more flawed than I thought. If the US doesn’t represent America, what or whom does it represent? The will and ambitions of this small(?) army of professional politicians? Come to think of it, you are probably correct. It’s easy to like Americans but it’s hard to like the US.
