Coconut had wished to revisit S Africa (well, Cape Town) before and on way to college.

I nixed the idea at the onset, on gut feel that she ought to be mission-focused, to move into dorm on the get-go of move-in day, and get settled in, fast, given that even if zoom school the school shall keep dorms open and she is better off stranded at school as opposed to in S Africa or even HK. I told her I shall leave immediately after she moves in, and only tethered through telecom (thank goodness for IT)

She is all excited about meeting her as yet unknown dorm mates, and is taking time out to pour over course catalogue

She will share dorm suite w/ several (more than 3) other random girls, and is now crash-course re-fresh learning what she has to learn, those being cooking, cleaning bathroom, vacuuming everywhere.

She wrote down seven recipes she shall learn from grandma and others.

Oh, and yes, refresher by private tutor self-defence, and remembering not to drink anything she did not open herself when at parties.

Be ready to tag w/ others to their parents over short breaks, and be ready to hang out on own in big empty dorm w/ a very few friends

Skip Florida. Do Oregon and Hawaii and Maine. Yeah, Ok NYC.

Do not believe in any news flow on 1st of April.

Etc etc

I am re-living vicariously and made below list for her to consider
