"I have no problems with masks - but how is it possible to mandate something based on intuitive feeling?" I'm convinced they wanted masking for several reasons none of which had anything to do with stopping virus transmission. 1) obvious sign of compliance 2) raises fear level and reminds everyone about the "horrible" Covid virus 3) reduces interactions and conversations between people 4) hurts businesses since people hate wearing masks so spend less time in stores etc.
