Wharfie, on this topic, you are not guilty of wishful thinking. Instead, you are observing what I'm observing, namely the Republican's uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

On the other hand, I agree with tossing Roe v. Wade. The "logic" behind that decision was faulty at best. The 4th amendment only protected against unreasonable search and seizure. Yes, there is also an implied right to privacy, which I support, but it doesn't cover what one is allowed to do with his or her own body, much less deal with the question of whether an unborn child is a sentient life that should be protected even from its own mother.

Because the Constitution doesn't mention abortion, then assuming there are no federal laws that explicitly protect abortion, the issue should be left to the states.
