| | | That sounds delish! Tristan is such a joy… about to graduate with his Masters from LSU. Middle school was brutal, mainly due to social issues, but in high school he found his tribe, the really bright kids, even got the girl - she’s drop dead gorgeous and he says smarter than him, and they are engaged after dating for 10 years. I worried about him when he was young, but he has done so well. He is the most polite and charming young man. He still doesn’t like crowds, loud noises, etc but he’s in computer science so he will be fine. His fiancé finished her MS in English, and wants to teach at the college level. I think they are going to have a great life together, so I’m very hopeful for his future. I never looked at it as a disability, just something that made him unique. He’s always been such a joy that I wouldn’t have changed a thing about him. How old is your nephew? I hope he’s doing well too!
Sorry for being off topic, but I thought it might be nice to shed some light on Asperger’s for those not familiar. If you have a chance to get to know someone with a diagnosis, they will probably enrich your life more than you can imagine. |
