Hi Sonny,

THX for the warm welcome back.
Appreciate your thoughts and the threads on the possible market reaction to a war with IRAQ.

I picked this up from the ASND thread.....interesting and serious stuff.

"Today's Tribune had an excellent article by Joan Beck, titled "How will bombing Iraq solve the Hussain problem?"

Some questions raised:

What happens when you blast a storage facility full of anthrax or poison gas?

How much harm would be done to innocent Iraqi people, even to American forces?

Wouldn't Hussain be tempted to use at least some of his weapons while he still can?

Can you be sure he would not launch a poison gas attack or send terrorists with suitcases full of anthrax to New York City?

Is there any possibility we COULD be setting off WWIII?

Are plans being made to use ground troops as well as air strikes?

Are you willing to occupy a country half way around the world? For how long? On what legal pretext? At what cost? How would we end it? We can't even get out of Bosnia.

If we are right to bomb Iraq, why is there such tepid support?

There were many more, but this is just a sampling.

This is serious, folks. And we have already called the Japanese Prime Minister, saying we won't necessarily hold off until the Olympic games are over."

TAKE CARE,
D2
