Nice rhetorical trick, setting yourself up as the superior, somewhat slightly aggrieved, party. The one who judges, whose judgment matters.

You sure read a lot into a simple statement.

Particularly given my expressed preference for federalism--in contrast to most of the posters here. Glass half empty, huh?

BTW, I feel the same way about democracy. It's a lousy system except for all the other alternatives.
