A similar thing happened to a friend of mine who now lives in Tennessee. Her trans daughter (son?) ran away lured by an Internet stalker in California. Luckily the police found her before any harm was done. Oddly enough, she dropped all the gender nonsense when her daughter went missing and was roundly burned by the trans community for referring to her daughter as female instead of male. Her (rational) response: I want the police to be able to identify my daughter, not going out looking for a boy or trying to identify a male corpse.
