Yeah, all those patents so little time... If IBM went into a no-holds barred software giveaway with your Master, they would be wiping their ass with his stock next year. Who's going to want a 300 MHz has-been server when they can get 1GHz of cutting-edge silicon running Rhapsody. Sounds to me like IBM is gearing up to make a new presence in the PC market-place and with twice MSFT's earnings they can give away free products for a long time. Free Lotus SmartSuite or MS-Office at $500? Let the consumer decide which is "more" innovative.
