Interesting Alphanet competitor... For a list of Alphanet's direct competitors see www.pulver.com/nextgen . The interesting one on this list is USA Global Link which claims that "it is in the process of putting up 1000 internet telephony switches connecting them to its current global internetwork. It should have over 175 switches installed by Jan.1st 1998" The interesting part is this: It has an investment partner which is helping it to launch its service. The partner is none other than a certain PT IndoSat! You can see the news release at USA Global link's web site at usagl.com The other piece of news is that it is going to spend $1.2 billion on its voice over IP network over the next few years.
