I don't know. It seems some just double down here and I'm getting flyers from others bragging about being progressives. One I read this AM wants less policing and jails and more social services... while crime is soaring here.

I'd like to vote for a politician who seems interested in uniting the country rather than using our differences to win votes and power from the extremists.

One of my very good female board sports friends who immigrated legally from Iran, is very good looking and had to wait years for her Polish boyfriend to be eligible to come here legally and get married was at first a very "progressive" liberal, but after years of hearing my moderate views and observing how hard she works while others take advantage of the system, etc... she's become more moderate and keeps telling me to run for office. Yesterday she concluded to me that she is convinced the Democrats deliberately don't solve many of these issues with compromise because they would have no issues to run on and would lose.
