Jeff, don't let those Pom-Poms block your vision.

You said: It's probably 50/50 that it will go back to the 6's. So, why not take some profit now and buy back in at $6. I hope and suspect that Informix will never again see $4-4.5/share. It is very realistic that it could bounce to $9 before earnings and fall to $6 after they come out. The run up and then fall in the stock price has happened for the last 3 quarters. Informix has not come out with any PR or news that would indicate that this time would be any different. If the numbers are going to be a positive surprise, wouldn't you expect a lot more news from management. I realize that Informix is in the quiet period and can't speak to the actual revenues for Q4 or 1997 but they still could put out PR on new accounts or very major wins. I haven't seen any that fit this category, have you?

You also said: Informix was a great performing stock for over 4 years. You have to realize that 3 of those 4 years were based on false figures. The restatement went back to 1994.

Jeff, you bring another insight into the Informix investment debates and I appreciate that. Sometimes I fear that you get a little light headed from all that jumping around though... :)

Good Luck... We'll know the facts Wednesday afternoon.

Dave..
